Well we never know whats going wrong , we need to check each and every aspect.
Resolution :
- Check Event Viewer - Source
- Check terminator types and connnections
- check the bent pins / jumper settings for SCSI
- Check for RAID Controller and adapter compatibility
- Change SCSI Cables
- Change tapes / clean drive
- Check drivers for Controller - Latest Drivers
- Check drivers for the tape drive
- Run XTALK
- If available Upgrade Firmware
