Resolution :
- Change media, check RAID CONTROLLER
- Check SCSI Connections
- Check terminators type and connections , bent pins
- Upgrade drivers
- Run HP Tape Perf
- Check SCSI Bios -
- Check WIde Negotiation - (Yes - 16 BIT) (NO - 8 Bit)
- Reduced Transfer Rate
- Check the compression .. compatibility with drive..
- Check jumper settings for SCSI, raid controller and compatibility
- Change tape / clean drive
- SCSI Bios - Max Transfer Rate (Should be Same as that of drive)
- SYNC WIDE NEGOTIATION (Should be disabled for 8 bit drive)
- Make sure no SE Drive Installed
- Check DIP Switch on the drive and make sure its ON...
NOTE: If the model no. of the contrller (W- Wide i.e. 16 Bit,
(and WIDE NEGOTIATION is set to "YES") and if the drive is
of 8 bit then we need to disable the WIDE NEGOTIATION - "NO"
to match the speed of drive with controller - (8 bit - 8 bit)...
