GOVAULT WHILE EXPLORE ASKS FOR USERNAME AND PASSWORD :

1. Go to My Computer select Tools->Folder Options… In the Folder Options page select the View tab. Scroll to the bottom of the Advanced settings area and see if Use simple file sharing (recommended) is checked or not. If it is checked: uncheck, reboot and try to explore again.

2. Select Tools->Internet Options. On the Security Tab select “Local intranet” from “Select a zone to view or change security settings.” Click the Sites button and verify that Automatically detect intranet network is checked. Then click the “Advanced” button. Type http://localhost in the “Add this website to the zone: text box” and click “Add”. Click “Close” on the Local intranet property page opened from clicking the Advanced button. Click OK on the Local intranet property page opened from clicking the Sites button. Finally, click OK on the Internet Options property page. Then try to explore again.
